A very low-key, informal, pleasant place with very good service and excellent food, imaginatively prepared. The stuffed flounder is excellent, rich and filling. The pasta Al fresco is also excellent and interesting. We picked up a pizza to go another night, and it was a classic New York style with a crunchy, thin crust, very tasty. Prices are high, as befitting a place on the beach road, but if you’re in the neighborhood, try it!
It's not for a group with someone that can't eat tomato sauce, or tomatos, or spicy food. They don't have appetizing options for those people as far as I know. The soups maybe, but they're probably spicy, and without the menu telling you. The description of the meals is not thorough; the menu didn't tell me that the meal, with the sausage, I ordered had tomato sauce in it. The salad with the salami was spicy, (the cauliflower and carrots was marinated in spicy juice or something), and the menu didn't tell me that. The only thing I seen for a seafood option, for the meals, is shrimp and fish; they do not have scallops. The calamari was good though. The prices was too high; from $17 to $28. If I wasn't trying to watch my acid intake I would of enjoyed it. My husband enjoyed his food. He gotten the ravioli dish. They need better options for those who can't eat spicy acidic food. And they need to tell you what is in the food and how it is cooked.
Yummy Italian restaurant on St. Pete Beach. It's a small place so you may drive right by it like we did. But we found it and was not disappointed. I ordered one of the specials, stuffed flounder. It was stuffed with shrimp and crab and it melted like butter in my mouth. It had these delicious crispy onions on top and came with a GIANT baked potato on the side. It was so good I am not sure I will ever order anything else! They have beer, wine and sangria. If you are in St. Pete then check this place out. If you have a big party be sure to make reservations.
I was at St. Pete’s Beach for a conference and stayed at the Don Cesar. I happened upon Gigi’s after about a 10 minute walk. I was seated immediately and the service was fantastic. All of the wait staff was friendly with the customers. I decided on the White Pizza and it was amazing. I enjoyed my meal so much I came back on the last night of the conference and had the same thing. Except this time I had the key lime pie for desert. WORTH IT!!! Thank you Gigi’s for a couple of great meals.
We ordered a large pizza. I was asked cheese only? I said regular. I guess they don't know what that means here. I said cheese and sauce. She said ok. It was delivered. I opened the box and tasted the worst pizza I've eaten in years. Burnt bottom crust. Almost zero sauce. One bite and burnt cheese all came off. Horrible horrible pizza. The price was comparable. The delivery charge was fair. The delivery service and employee were great. Pizza = zero stars. This pizza used to at least remind us a little of the stuff back home (Northeastern PA). Not anymore.
Don't miss this hidden jewel in St. Pete Beach, Florida! We had a shrimp cocktail and the Italian Combo with lasagna, stuffed shells, eggplant parmigiana, bread, and a meat ball. My oh my.....everything was amazing!😊
The food was awful, and i mean awful. You are better off going to papa johns. The bruschetta was 8 pieces of what looked like store bought bread and a poorly made pico. Some publix mozzarella sliced and put on the toast and a sad piece of red pepper. No mozzarella on all the pieces of toast, only 3 of them. It’s almost as if they were rationing. The pizza came out and we had a feeling it was going to be god awful. Well, it was. $18 for an almost burnt pizza that looked like it came straight from the frozen isle from the Walgreen’s across the street. Please save your money and go somewhere else. The place is cute but what an absolutel waste of money. Each pizza was $18 + $2.50 for added toppings, $9 for the bruschetta. Avoid this overpriced garbage.
From the service to food is always amazing at Gigi"s. We go every year for my birthday and anniversary.
